staying local...
Distance
We purchase produce grown locally reducing the carbon emissions required to get our hot sauce to your table. Purchasing a food product that has traveled just five miles from the ground to the table, compared to thousands of miles for those same foods is a small step with a huge impact on the planet.
Quality
Purchasing locally grown foods also means you are getting more nutrients from the foods. Each day after a food is picked from the vine or plucked from the soil, it loses vitamins and minerals.
Taste
Locally grown organic foods taste better. If you don't believe me then try your own taste test. Sometime during the summer, buy a tomato from the farmer's market and then buy a tomato from the grocery store. Do a taste test yourself and see the difference. Trust me, you will.
